The Cochin Harbour Terminus Railway Station was one of the last structures to be built by Britishers in India before Independence. Due to closure of the station, today most of the platforms are used as temporary art-galleries, where painters and sculptors exhibit their works on regular basis. The exterior of the station is one of the last versions of Victorian architecture. Though the structure has exhibited signs of ruins due to lack of maintenance, still one can find the grandeur of Victorian style.
